Standards

Every plan draws from the same peer-reviewed literature used by professional sports teams, research hospitals, and university athletics programs.

NSCA
National Strength and Conditioning Association. The gold standard for resistance training prescription, periodization models, and athlete testing protocols. All programming aligns with NSCA’s evidence-based guidelines.

ACSM
American College of Sports Medicine. The leading authority on exercise prescription for clinical populations. We follow ACSM guidelines for all medical athlete adaptations and cardiovascular exercise parameters.

ISSN
International Society of Sports Nutrition. Sets the evidence standard for supplement recommendations. Our Tier 1/Tier 2 classification system follows ISSN’s framework directly.

American Diabetes Association. All T2 Diabetes, blood sugar management, and insulin-related exercise adaptations follow ADA clinical practice standards, including medication interactions.

American Heart Association. Exercise intensity guidelines, blood pressure management, and cardiovascular risk stratification for all clients with hypertension or cardiac history.

Beyond certifying bodies, we draw from published research in journals including Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
Supplement Classification
How We Classify Supplements
Modeled after the ISSN evidence classification. We only recommend Tier 1 and Tier 2.
✅ Tier 1 — We Recommend
Strong, consistent evidence from multiple RCTs. Safe and effective across diverse populations.

Examples: Creatine monohydrate, caffeine, beta-alanine, vitamin D, protein
✅ Tier 2 — We Recommend
Limited but promising evidence. Generally safe with some populations showing benefit.

Examples: Omega-3s, magnesium, zinc, ashwagandha, citrulline malate
✗ Tier 3+ — We Don’t
Little to no reliable evidence, or primarily industry-funded research. Not included regardless of popularity.
